Pan-Nordic rollout of PreCom mobility solutions to the security company G4S
G4S in Sweden has been using mobile solutions based on the PreCom Platform for many years. Two years ago, G4S in Denmark and Belgium also started using PreCom mobile solutions. G4S in Norway has also deployed the system and roll-out is currently ongoing. G4S in Finland recently announced that they also want to use similar mobile solutions for their security guards.
Today, G4S in total have thousands of PreCom users and new users are being rolled out.
The security guards are using PDAs with a mobile PreCom software solution for patrolling, interventions and emergency alarms. The dispatchers at the alarm central use the PreCom solution to position the guards and to dispatch patrols and other missions. The entire solution is integrated with the ERP system SAP.
Functionality currently included: mobile work orders, digital signature (POD), personal emergency alarm, mobile messaging, scanning /RFID, GPS & navigation and electronic keys. Shortly functions such as digital mileage reports and ISA will be implemented. It is worth noting that G4S in Sweden and Denmark have replaced their entire com radio system and now use PDA with push-to-talk function for all voice communication.
