DSV, one of the world's leading transport and logistics companies, has chosen PreCom Platform for its mobility solution. The solution was tested successfully during fall 2009, and has now been installed in 80 DSV-vehicles in Denmark. The solution is used for night-distribution for the customer Solar. The implementation was done in close cooperation with the DSV global IT department which acted as PocketMobile's delivery partner. This project is the first step in using PreCom within the DSV group.

 

DSV can now offer its customers real-time updated night-distribution. Customers can send the goods or packages late at night and still have it delivered the next day. Thanks to the mobile order management module connected to GPS, delivery confirmations are automatically generated.

 

With PreCom, DSV can expect to win new businesses and market shares in the transportation sector, locally and globally - mobility is and will be a critical success factor for DSV in the fierce competition that exists in the transport & logistics industry.
